Overview of our firm
Berry Family Law Melbourne is a legal firm specialising solely in the practice of family law, relationship law and divorce law. The professional team consists of eight family lawyers, three of whom are Accredited Family Law Specialists, and they are supported by a highly skilled and dedicated paralegal support team.
Family law is an area of law that deals with real people and real issues; issues that can have an impact on a diverse range of relationship, life-style, and financial aspects of life.
As family law continues to become more complex, we believe that the only way a client can be certain that their lawyer is up to date with the latest changes is to practice and specialise in family law.
While we navigate the legal issues for our clients we do so with empathy and an understanding of the associated stresses and implications. We strive to achieve the best outcome for our clients and we do so with a friendly voice.
Berry Family Law specialises in the following areas:
- Spousal Maintenance
- Crimes Family Violence
- Financial Agreements
- Defacto Property Disputes
- Same Sex Disputes
- Cohabitation Agreements between married, defacto and same sex couples
Our settling rates before court are higher than the national average. Our negotiating skills and effective service are intended, if possible, to promptly resolve your matter, cost effectively and with dignity.
We pride ourselves on being a family oriented firm. When your outcome is uncertain we offer a calm and professional approach which recognises that people matter.
Many firms of lawyers attempt to practise in a number of areas of law, but Berry Family Law has consciously chosen not to do that. We believe that as the law has become more complex, the only way a client can be confident that their lawyer is up to date with the latest changes and practices is for the lawyer to specialise in one area of law, have a proven record of ongoing professional development, and recognition by their peers.
Only the best lawyers in their field of expertise become Law Institute Accredited Specialists.
Accredited Specialists must have five years full time legal practice experience, three years experience in their area of specialisation, and maintain a high degree of professional development.
